Lynn was just published in the Broward Beacon! Check out her piece on travel to Japan (hint: they have awesome bathrooms) and while you are there, check out the president’s corner !
Lynn’s law is based on a simple idea. Everyone deserves a little privacy in the bathroom, right?
Well for some–people with ostomies or feeding tubes for example–public restrooms are simply not equipped for their medical conditions. The result? People like Lynn must have some accompany them, not just in the bathroom, but into the stall. It means a loss of privacy and independence.
The fix is pretty simple. Require all public restrooms to have a hook near the toilet (the one on the door is just too far away), a sink, a medical waste disposal boxes for a syringes, and a shelf.
These simple adjustments would give people with medical conditions the freedom the rest of us take for granted. A little privacy in the john, the loo, the wash room–whatever you call it, everyone deserves it. Check out the rest of the site to find about more about Lynn see a simple bathroom design and more.
